Barry Miller
Drums
Barry began his drumming journey at 14 while stationed with his parents in Kuwait, where he first played along to Kiss and Zeppelin records but soon was playing gigs with high school bandmates at American embassy poolside cocktail parties. After graduating high school in Chantilly, VA, Barry played in several DC-area rock bands until joining the US Navy, where he was able to keep a drumset on the ship and jam with shipmates either at sea or in port as time permitted. After the Navy, Barry attended college at the U. of New Mexico and continued playing in bands while in Albuquerque. This was followed by a brief stint in Ypsilanti, MI, where occasional jams continued. Drumming took a pause while raising a family in Fairbanks, AK other than a gig or two with office mates as the kids grew older. Finally, a family move to Ithaca, NY in 2008 brought new musical and professional opportunities, including several collaborations with The Band Called Revival cofounder Neal Massa. Barry is also an accomplished blues harmonica player and singer and can be found around the area fronting various blues acts.
